Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - A meeting of the State Commission for the commissioning of the investment project "Construction of a gas processing plant complex and the construction of the Kandym group of fields" took place at the Kandym Gas Processing Plant.

On 17 October 2019, at the Kandym gas processing complex in the Bukhara region, an act of the State Acceptance Commission was signed, which marked the complete completion of the construction of the plant and the associated infrastructure of the KSPK.

LUKOIL Uzbekistan Operating Company LLC submitted to the State Commission for commissioning a fully completed project under the project “Construction of a complex of a gas processing plant and arrangement of the Kandym group of fields”, including a gas processing plant with two process lines with a capacity of 4.05 billion m3 of natural gas each year, administrative building, repair zones and other pre-factory facilities, an integrated autonomous residential complex for 1,150 people, facilities of a collection system 220 km long, 71 wells, 285 km of roads, an export gas pipeline with a length of 70 km, an external water supply system with a length of 55 km, an external power supply system with a length of 268 km (VL-220, VL-35, VL-10).

The State Acceptance Commission includes representatives of government bodies such as the Ministry of Energy, the Ministry of Employment and Labor Relations, the Ministry of Emergencies, the Ministry of Construction, JSC Uzbekneftegaz, Uzgosenergonadzor, the State Committee for Industrial Safety, Uzgosneftegazinspektsiya, the State Fire Safety Department, the State Committee for Ecology and environmental protection, trade union organizations, the khokimiyat of the Bukhara region and other institutions, in total about 30 members issii.

On 19 April 2018, the Kandym Gas Processing Plant was inaugurated with the participation of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sh. Mirziyoyev, the Minister of Energy of the Russian Federation A. Novak and the President of PJSC LUKOIL V. Alekperov. Cumulative production from the beginning of operation is more than 12.7 billion m3, production of marketable gas is more than 11.8 billion m3.

The large-scale Kandym gas processing complex with modern engineering and transport infrastructure, with a total investment of US$3.5 billion, received the highest rating by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Miromonovich Mirziyoyev as a “miracle in the desert”, was built in record time and put into operation on 8 months ahead of schedule. The plant’s capacity is designed to process 8 billion cubic meters of gas per year. The complex is designed for the purification of gas from hydrogen sulfide and the production of commercial gas, stable gas condensate and commercial sulfur.

The construction of this large-scale gas processing complex was carried out by a consortium of Hyundai Engineering Co., Ltd and Enter Engineering PTE. Ltd, who completed the design and supply of technological equipment, the construction of a gas processing plant complex and the development of the Kandym group of fields.
