Starting from 1 July, Pensions and Benefits to Increase, and from 1 August, Salaries and Scholarships to Rise by 10%
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — President Shavkat Mirziyoyev of Uzbekistan has signed a decree to increase the salaries of public sector employees, as well as pensions, benefits, and scholarships by 10%.
According to the presidential decree, from 1 July 2025, pensions, benefits, child payments in low-income families, and monthly financial assistance will be increased by 10 percent.
The minimum old-age pension will be set at 918,000 soums, while disability pensions will amount to 1,012,000 soums.
Monthly child benefits for low-income families will be as follows: 360,000 soums per child under 3 years old; 275,000 soums per child aged 3 to 18; an additional payment of 165,000 soums for the second child; and 110,000 soums for the third and each subsequent child.
Monthly financial assistance for low-income families will amount to 420,000 soums.
From 1 August 2025, the salaries of public sector employees and scholarship amounts will also increase by 10 percent. In particular, the minimum wage will rise from 1,155,000 soums to 1,271,000 soums.
Funding for these measures will be provided by the State Budget and the Pension Fund.
Additionally, to encourage the purchasing power of citizens working in the private sector, employers are recommended to set salaries not lower than the minimum wage.
Starting from 1 August 2025, the basic estimated value (BEV) is established at 412,000 soums.
