Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A delegation from St. Petersburg, headed by Governor Alexander Beglov, visited the Samarkand Ishga Markhamat Monocenter as part of a visit to the Republic of Uzbekistan. It promotes the employment of the unemployed and non-working citizens, teaches them modern professional and entrepreneurial skills.
The St. Petersburg delegation includes representatives of the Committee on Labor and Employment of the Population of St. Petersburg, the state autonomous institution "Labor Resource Center", and the Association for the Promotion of International Labor Migration.
“Today it is very important to establish effective cooperation in the field of labor and employment. In Samarkand, they got acquainted with the work of the Ishga Markhamat monocenter. We will exchange experience in providing employment, attracting citizens to entrepreneurship, increasing their labor activity,” said Alexander Beglov. He noted that a lot of work is being done in St. Petersburg with workers coming from other countries.
The Association for the Promotion of International Labor Migration has developed a number of digital products. The electronic application "Care" translates into a digital space the interaction of a labor migrant with migration centers and government agencies. The project "Electronic card of a labor migrant" helps to automate the collection, storage and updating of information necessary for legal employment. The association is also engaged in the development of educational processes for labor migrants.
In 2023, the Committee on Labor and Employment will hold labor fairs in Uzbekistan with the participation of large employers in St. Petersburg, which will help attract qualified specialists to the economy and facilitate the process of their employment.
In the monocenter "Ishga Markhamat", people are trained in 22 types of working professions. Graduates are issued a state-recognized certificate, equivalent to a diploma of secondary specialized vocational education and giving the right to work in the profession. In addition, graduates who have successfully passed the assessment according to the requirements of WorldSkills will be issued a Skills passport, which gives them the right to work in Uzbekistan and in foreign countries.
