Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In order to eliminate the identified defects and prevent emergency shutdowns at the Uchkir compressor station, owned by the Gazli oil and gas producing company, a group of qualified specialists from the German company Siemens Energy, the Singaporean company Enter Engineering were involved in the repair work.

The main task of this compressor station is the fast and efficient production of natural gas from the Doyakhotin, Kumli and Uchkir fields. It should be noted that the shutdown of one gas pumping unit leads to a reduction in the daily production of natural gas by about 1 million cubic meters.

Due to the fact that the station is under the warranty period, there was a need for prompt repair work in order to eliminate the identified malfunctions.

To perform these works, together with the specialists of Siemens Energy, repair work is being carried out on the SGT-400 gas turbine engine installed on the gas compressor unit No. 200 of the station in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions. During the repair work, the gas turbine engine will be dismantled and the thrust bearing supplied by Siemens Energy will be replaced with a new one. Several technically complex calculations are also carried out.

In terms of adjustment work and automation of the gas compressor unit, the specialists of Makhsusenergogaz JSC checked automatic control systems, sensors and instruments, and carried out preventive work. As a result, it was possible to ensure uninterrupted, stable operation of gas compressor unit No. 200 and prevent a reduction in natural gas production.

The Uchkir compressor station is located in Romiton district of Bukhara region. It has 2 gas compressor units with a capacity of 5.0 billion cubic meters of natural gas per year. In 2021, gas compressor units manufactured by the German company Siemens Energy were installed and launched at the station.
