Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 3 July 2020, the Special Representative of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Afghanistan, Ismatullah Irgashev, met with the Chargé d’affaires of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Vasim Shahzad.

A thorough exchange of views took place on the current situation in Afghanistan and the efforts of the international community to facilitate the start of the inter-Afghan negotiation process.

The Pakistani side was informed about the efforts of Uzbekistan to resolve the Afghan problem, the priority areas of our country’s policy for the economic reconstruction of Afghanistan.
