South Korean Delegation Visits Ferghana Industrial Firms

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A delegation from South Korea, led by Chung Chang-sun, visited the Ferghana region to review the operations of local industrial enterprises. The delegation was accompanied by Nuriddin Mamadzhonov.

During the visit, the delegation toured the joint venture Uzsungwoo in Ferghana, which produces automotive components under a localization program.

The plant’s production workshops are fully automated and equipped with modern machinery from leading global engineering companies, including Schuler, Prima Power, Benteler, and Aotto. Operations include steel coil preparation, hot pressing, and laser cutting.

Delegates were provided with detailed information about the plant’s production capacity and measures implemented as part of the localization program.

On the same day, the delegation visited one of the region’s largest industrial enterprises — Fergana Global Textile — where they reviewed achievements in the textile sector and modern production technologies.

Following the visit, the South Korean representatives praised the investor-friendly environment and expressed interest in expanding economic cooperation with Ferghana, highlighting opportunities for investment in the region’s industrial sector.
