South Korean delegation receives information on IUT activities

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A delegation of the Republic of Korea led by director of Jeonbuk Technopark Lee Young Choon held negotiations with the administration of Inha University in Tashkent (IUT).

First Vice Rector of IUT, Professor Woosug Cho briefed the guests on activities of the university on training of IT specialists, its facilities and infrastructure, as well as syllabus. He provided information on initiatives of IUT on improving knowledge of youth in various fields, including coding.

He also shared with the guests about the plans of IUT on further expanding the university infrastructure and improving quality of education.

In his turn, Lee Young Choon presented the activities of Jeonbuk Technopark. Technopark was founded in 2014. Various R&D labs and production capacities operate in the technopark.

It was noted that the consortium led by Jeonbuk Technopark implements a project on creation of R&D Center on modeling agriculture equipment. The cost of the project is US$6.5 million. Within the project, the Korean side will supply equipment of software, as well as provide training to local specialists.

During the negotiations, the sides considered issues of attracting IUT students to the realization of the project. The side also discussed issues of cooperation in other areas, including exchange of experience and organization of joint researches.

The delegation also familiarized themselves with modern conditions, created in the university for students and faculty members.
