Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A South Korean citizen who worked as a coach at the WTF Taekwondo Association was killed in Tashkent, the press service of the Central Internal Affairs Directorate of Tashkent said in a statement.

The ministry said that on 15 June at about 4:00 in Chilanzar district, 44-year-old citizen of the Republic of Korea KD, being intoxicated, stabbed his friend during a quarrel and inflicted grievous bodily harm on his friend - 39- summer citizen of the Republic of Korea K.J.Yu.

The victim was taken to hospital, however, despite the efforts of medical personnel, died the next day.

On this fact, the Investigation Department of the Central Internal Affairs Directorate of Tashkent in relation to K.D. a criminal case was initiated on the grounds of a crime under paragraph "D" Part 3. article 104 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and the man himself was detained. The preliminary investigation of the case is ongoing.
