SOT to supply equipment to Uzbek-China pipeline

Rimera Group’s Trunk Pipeline Equipment Division incorporates Pipe Bends Plant (SOT) signed a contract on supply of connection bends to the Uzbek-Chinese joint venture Asia Trans Gas.
In line with the agreement, the Russian firm will supply 350 tonnes of products to the customer by the end of October 2013.
Hot-formed bends with a diameter of 1067 mm bending radius 6DN designed for pressure 9.8 MPa. The Russian firm said that the bends were developed by Chinese CPPE and UzLITIneftegaz, and differ from Russian standards.
The bends will be used at construction of the third line of Uzbekistan-China gas pipeline, which exports gas from Central Asia to Russia.
SOT is only Russian producer, which passed pre-qualification on supply of bends for construction of the third line of the pipeline.
Rimera and Asia Trans Gas have been cooperating for last several years. In 2009, SOT supplied bends for the first and second lines of the pipeline, while Rimera’s Czech plant MSA supplied ball cocks for US$4.8 million in August.
