Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Presidential Decree "On additional measures to support the service sector" was adopted.

According to the Decree, the period of validity of privileges on customs duties when importing the following goods and vehicles into Uzbekistan will be extended until 1 January 2024:

- new medical equipment, components and spare parts for them and consumables imported by legal entities according to the established list, including on the basis of a lease agreement;

- new ambulances for nongovernmental medical organizations;

- equipment, machinery, raw materials, components and spare parts, construction and other materials for the construction, reconstruction and equipping of thematic alleys, hotels and other places of accommodation in accordance with the established lists;

- vehicles with 8 or more seats used for the carriage of passengers, the service life of which does not exceed 5 years;

- warehouse equipment, handling equipment, units, spare parts not produced in Uzbekistan, intended for the provision of transport and logistics services in accordance with the established lists;

- equipment, mechanisms and spare parts for cable cars, ski lifts, funiculars and other similar objects, bungee jumping and zipline rides, controlled (airship, balloon) and uncontrolled (free flight), balloons, gondolas, equipment for "rafting" and "flyboarding".

When imported into Uzbekistan, the following goods are exempt from customs duties from October 1, 2021 to 1 January 2024:

- educational - laboratory and special equipment and inventory for educational organizations according to the lists formed in accordance with the established procedure;

- not prohibited slot machines, video game equipment and automatic bowling equipment;

- new dental and cosmetic equipment, components, spare parts and consumables for them imported by legal entities, including under lease agreements, according to lists formed in the prescribed manner.
