Some 8.6 trln. soums of securities registered in Uzbekistan in Jan-Sep

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Center for coordination and development of securities market and its territorial branches registered 346 primary, additional and new emissions of securities for 8.6 trillion soums on par value.

In particular, the center registered emissions of shares of Uzdonmahsulot for 598.5 billion soums, Uzavtosanoat for 185.5 billion soums, Andijonpakhtasanoat for 161.7 billion soums, Uzbekiston Temir Yollari for 86.6 billion soums and Bank Ipak Yoli for 17.2 billion soums.

The volume of emission of shares in January-September 2015 exceeds by 4.4 trillion soums compared to the same period of 2014. At the same time, number of issued shares in the reporting period reached 1.3 trillion units against 0.9 billion units in nine months of 2014.

Sharp growth of the volume of emission of shares is connected with the resolution of the President of Uzbekistan from 28 April 2015 “On measures on increasing share and importance of private property in economy”. The resolution envisages decreasing state share in joint stock companies via realization and transfer of stakes in companies, as well as decreasing share in companies via issue and placement of additional shares.

As of 1 October, total number of valid emissions of shares of 744 companies of Uzbekistan made up 14.9 trillion soums on par value, which rose by 3.2 trillion soums compared to the same period of 2015 and 2.2 trillion soums compared to the beginning of 2015. At the same time, Central depository of securities has records on rights of the government for shares in 302 joint stock companies for 8.9 trillion soums.

As of 1 October, some 47 issues of corporate bonds for 314.5 billion soums were registered in Uzbekistan.
