Some 660 joint stock companies work in Uzbekistan

Total volume of shares of the joint stock companies on par value makes up 29.82 trillion soums, of which 4.22 trillion soums were issued by commercial banks. About 3.43 trillion ordinary and preferential shares are in circulation.

Largest number of joint stock companies is recorded in Uzpakhtasanoatexport (116 joint stock companies, 1.45 trillion soums), Uzbekneftegaz (51 joint stock companies, 5.71 trillion soums), Uzbekenergo (41 joint stock companies, 9.25 trillion soums), Uzdonmahsulot (41 joint stock companies, 691.8 billion soums).

Largest number of joint stock companies is in Tashkent (244 joint stock companies or 36.96% with the volume of issued shares for 25.54 trillion soums or 85.63%), while the lowest in Syrdarya region (17 joint stock companies or 2.57%, 173.22 billion soums or 0.58%).
