Some 530 students from Uzbekistan study in US

Number of students from Uzbekistan, who are studying in the United States, reached 530 people, the annual report on mobility of foreign students in the world “Open Doors” for 2016.
According to the US Embassy in Tashkent, number of students from Uzbekistan, studying in the US, grew by 7.9%.
Main part of the students from Uzbekistan in the US mainly studies in Bachelor courses. About 35% of students study in Master courses and 50% in Bachelor courses. Some 10% of them undergo additional practical training and 5% of students study in non-degree courses such as English language or short-term researches.
US Envoy to Uzbekistan Pamela Spratlen said that it is necessary to encourage youth in all states to seek opportunities to study abroad and develop inter-cultural cooperation.
