Some 33,000 drunk drivers penalized in Uzbekistan over the past year
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — In 2024, a total of 33,000 individuals in Uzbekistan faced administrative penalties for driving under the influence (DUI) or refusing to undergo a medical examination.
According to the press service of the Supreme Court, 32,700 administrative cases related to this category of drivers were reviewed over the year.
As a result, 31,300 citizens were subjected to various penalties, including fines, license revocation, and administrative detention.
