Smart AI-Based Projects Underway in Namangan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Namangan Region is actively implementing large-scale digitalization projects using artificial intelligence technologies.

Across the region, initiatives such as “Smart City,” “Smart University,” and “Smart School” are being introduced step by step, alongside modern AI-based management and educational systems.

Shavkatjon Abdurazzoqov, Hokim of Namangan Region, reviewed the “Smart Center” project, planned to be established at Namangan State Technical University in the Davlatobod district. The center will be housed within the university’s Faculty of Economics and will operate based on an artificial intelligence laboratory.

The project envisions the creation of a “Smart University,” a “Smart School,” and innovative centers aimed at modernizing educational and municipal infrastructure in line with contemporary standards. These structures will enable digital management of the educational process, integration of AI in governance, and effective monitoring of regional infrastructure.

The “Smart Center” will allow centralized management of urban infrastructure via a unified digital platform. Over 200,000 video cameras will ensure continuous monitoring of public safety, traffic flow, utilities, waste management, and engineering networks using AI technologies.

Additionally, the center will host IT companies providing more than 50 jobs, creating new employment opportunities for young specialists and enhancing the region’s innovative capacity.

In education, the digitalization of schools continues based on the Chinese experience. Davlatobod’s 52nd general education school will gradually transition to the “Smart School” model, introducing modern management mechanisms and innovative teaching technologies.

The Hokim emphasized the importance of timely and high-quality project implementation, effective use of international experience, and the creation of comfortable conditions for residents.

The realization of these initiatives is expected to be a significant step in the digital development of Namangan Region, positioning it as an innovation hub, improving education quality, and increasing the efficiency of urban management.
