Six Wanted Criminals Extradited from Türkiye to Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Six internationally wanted criminals have been handed over to the Uzbek side as part of a joint operation by the National Central Bureaus (NCB) of Interpol in Tashkent and Ankara.

According to Uzbekistan’s NCB Interpol, the extradition was carried out with the direct assistance of Ankara’s NCB officers and the Gendarmerie of the Republic of Türkiye.

All detainees are suspected of serious crimes, including human trafficking and large-scale fraud.

“The criminals were transferred to officers of Interpol Tashkent and Uzbekistan’s law enforcement agencies for further investigative actions,” the agency reported.

The operation was the result of information exchange and the implementation of earlier agreements reached at Interpol-organized meetings aimed at strengthening cooperation in combating transnational crime.
