Six Members of “Alfa” Group Detained for Attack on Doctor and Accident Victim in Denau
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The State Security Service and the Surkhandarya Regional Department of Internal Affairs have detained six members of a criminal group residing in Denau District.
According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the detainees identified themselves as “Alfa” and created a Telegram group of the same name. Members of the group practiced various sports and were involved in street conflicts. The group leader is 28-year-old Sunnatulloh Muzaffarovich Kholmurodov.
Other members include Elbek Murodulla ugli Karimov (born 1998), Asliddin Karim ugli Ibdodov (1998), Azamat Alisher ugli Davlatov (1998), Javokhir Buron ugli Juraev (1998), and Bahriddin Normatovich Jumayev (1989).
On 6 January, at around 20:50, the group arrived at the Denau District Emergency Medical Service following a traffic accident involving a Skoda and a Kia. Their stated purpose was to visit an acquaintance — the Skoda driver — and to exert physical pressure on the Kia driver.
At the hospital, the group instigated a conflict, ignoring the administration’s instructions to maintain order, and actively resisted. As a result, a doctor and the accident victim were injured.
A criminal case has been opened under Article 277, Part 3, Paragraph “g” of the Criminal Code of Uzbekistan (hooliganism involving resistance to an official or civilians preventing disorderly conduct).
The investigation is ongoing. The suspects are in custody. Citizens affected by the group’s actions can contact local law enforcement or dial 102 for assistance.
