Sinoma EC International to build solar power plant in Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) —  On 29 November, an investment agreement was signed at the Ministry of Investments, Industry, and Trade of Uzbekistan for the construction of a 300 MW solar power plant and a 75 MW energy storage system in Karmana district of Navoi region, Republic of Uzbekistan.

The agreement was signed by Laziz Kudratov, Minister of Investments, Industry, and Trade, and Zuo Dayun, General Director of Sinoma EC International Investment Co., Ltd.

The launch of this project will serve as an important milestone in implementing the Uzbekistan-2030 Strategy, which aims to increase the capacity of renewable energy sources to 25,000 MW and raise their share in the country’s total energy consumption to 40%.
