Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Silk Avia airline will begin regular flights on the Tashkent — Sariosiyo — Tashkent route starting from 30 May 2025, according to a statement from the carrier's press service.

The flights will operate twice a week — on Wednesdays and Fridays. The minimum ticket price is set at 470,000 soums.

Flight schedule:

Wednesday:
— Departure from Tashkent at 10:00, arrival in Sariosiyo at 11:15
— Return flight: Departure from Sariosiyo at 11:55, arrival in Tashkent at 13:10

Friday:
— Departure from Tashkent at 14:05, arrival in Sariosiyo at 15:20
— Return flight: Departure from Sariosiyo at 16:00, arrival in Tashkent at 17:15

The resumption of the air service became possible thanks to the reconstruction of the Sariosiyo airport, a project initiated by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev in November 2023. This is part of the program to develop tourism in the Surkhandarya region.

The first technical flight to the renovated airport was completed on 29 April.

As part of the major renovation, the runway was strengthened to a length of 1,550 meters and a width of 35 meters, and a taxiway and apron for two ATR 72-600 aircraft were built. The construction of a new terminal, designed to handle up to 100 passengers per hour, is also nearing completion.
