Showroom of Uztrade opens in Afghanistan
According to the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Trade of Uzbekistan, the show room will display a wide range of domestic products.
In order to further develop the Uzbek-Afghan trade and economic cooperation, as well as increase the volume and expand the range of exported products, it is planned to ensure the supply of consumer goods of Uzbek producers such as cookies, chocolate sweets, jams, chocolate pastes with nuts, concentrated juices, antiseptic gels, carpets and carpet products, as well as other demanded products.
Currently, UzTrade signed contracts with Afghan partners for over US$29.0 million. Under these contracts, Uzbekistan shipped wheat for US$ 17.5 million, cement worth US$16,000 and polypropylene bags worth US$2,000.
