Short courses on sericulture for women to be launched in Uzbekistan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Women in Uzbekistan will be able to take short-term courses in sericulture. This is outlined in the government decree "On Measures for the Step-by-Step Provision of Employment for Women in the Sericulture Industry."
According to the document, a "roadmap" has been approved, defining the main parameters for training and involving women in the industry, as well as a phased system for ensuring their employment.
Women who complete the training will be given priority for employment on both seasonal and permanent bases in sericulture clusters, silkworm seed production enterprises, as well as in farms engaged in sericulture and mulberry tree cultivation. This is provided under the relevant presidential decree.
Specialists in sericulture from China, Vietnam, India, and Japan are planned to be invited within a month to conduct the short-term courses.
Data on citizens working in the sericulture sector will be entered into the "yangiish.mehnat.uz" platform. The number of women who have completed training and secured seasonal or permanent work in the industry will also be tracked.
