Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 1 June 2020, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sherzod Asadov met with the Resident Coordinator, the head of the UN Office in Uzbekistan, Helena Fraser, in the form of video conferencing.

During the meeting, the state and prospects of cooperation between Uzbekistan and the UN in key areas such as achieving the Sustainable Development Goals, countering the spread of COVID-19 in our country, ensuring the activities of the Multi-partner Trust Fund for Human Security for the Aral Sea region were discussed.

The parties also exchanged views on a series of special events dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the UN and on the implementation of specific joint projects, in particular on strengthening social cohesion of youth and developing cross-border interaction in the Ferghana Valley.
