Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev raised the problem of lack of electricity at a meeting with activists of Uchtepa district of Tashkent city.
“The heat stations in Tashkent are obsolete, they consume a lot of energy, but do not produce enough heat. At the same time, a large territory could be provided with the gas and electricity that one thermal power plant consumes.
In recent years, an unprecedented number of manufacturing plants have opened in the city. Naturally, their energy needs are also growing. Now we plan to create 55,000 jobs. To do this, you must install at least a lamp at these workplaces. Other technologies are not worth talking about.
Every year the need for electricity increases. First of all, we need to introduce modern technologies.
“We will import technologies that help save electricity and heat from abroad, as well as re-equip thermal stations. To supply the city, where three million people live, it is necessary to introduce innovations every day,” said Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
