Shavkat Mirziyoyev to be sworn in as president on 14 December

Legislative Chamber and Senate of Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan will hold a joint session on 14 December 2016.

During the session, Mirziyoyev will be sworn in as the President of Uzbekistan and receive special certificate from the chairperson of the Central Election Commission of Uzbekistan Mirzo-Ulugbek Abdusalomov.

MPs of Legislative Chamber and members of Senate will also consider candidacy of Abdulla Aripov to the post of Prime Minister of Uzbekistan.

Shavkat Mirziyoyev won the presidential elections in Uzbekistan, which were held on 4 December 2016. He collected 88.16% votes of the voters.

On 12 December, UzLiDeP, which holds the most seats in the Legislative Chamber, adopted decision to propose Deputy Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov to the post of Prime Minister for consideration of the President of Uzbekistan.
