Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- During a visit to Syrdarya region, the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev spoke with journalists.
The President noted that in the field of education there is a large amount of work that needs to be done.
“There are also many problems with textbooks, it is necessary to delve into them. Comprehensive discussions were held on the degree of conformity of the textbooks. We decided to develop textbooks for grades 1-4 according to Finnish standards. Because the Finnish system of public education is competitive both on a European scale and in the world as a whole, it has a lot of experience,” the head of state said.
The Ministry of Public Education recently announced the collection of applications for participation in the testing of new generation educational complexes for primary classes. During the period allotted for registration, 6229 applications were received.
