Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev expressed sincere congratulations and best wishes on the re-election of Audrey Azoulay to the post of Director-General of UNESCO.

“The broad support for your candidacy was another confirmation of the international recognition of your active efforts and the great contribution of the Organization to peace and the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals.

Your successful and effective activities in this post, the important initiatives and humanitarian projects you are promoting during the pandemic have contributed to strengthening the coordinating role and increasing the international prestige of UNESCO,” the message says.

The leader of Uzbekistan noted that he highly appreciates the special attention of the Director General to deepening the traditionally close and multifaceted relations between Uzbekistan and UNESCO.
