Shavkat Mirziyoyev nominated as a presidential candidate from UzLiDeP

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 12 May, the Political Council of the Liberal Democratic Party of Uzbekistan (UzLiDeP) approved the candidacy of Shavkat Mirziyoyev for consideration at the upcoming congress to nominate a candidate for the post of President of Uzbekistan. This was reported by the press service of the party.

Earlier, the Ecological Party nominates its leader Abdushukur Khamzaev as a candidate for the post of President of Uzbekistan, the People's Democratic Party - Ulugbek Inoyatov, the Social Democratic Party "Adolat" - Robakhon Makhmudova.

The Milliy Tiklanish party has not yet announced its candidate.

On 8 May, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev announced the holding of early elections of the head of state of Uzbekistan. Elections will be held on 9 July 2023.
