Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited new enterprises put into operation in the Technopark of the city of Tashkent.

It hosts 17 projects worth more than US$365 million, six of which were launched last year. At the beginning of this year, construction and installation work was completed at 4 more enterprises. Test production is currently underway.

The President got acquainted with the technologies introduced at these enterprises and the products they produce.

- Of course, these enterprises are of great economic importance. But what makes me happy is the qualifications and confidence of our youth. When today’s youth were just studying, there were no such machines. If we started this work 15 years ago, the level of education of our children today would be completely different, said Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

The cost of the project for the production of fittings and accessories is US$20 million. The enterprise is equipped with modern equipment from Turkey, 450 jobs have been created. The production capacity of the company is 6 million pieces of hardware and accessories for doors and frames. This will provide import substitution of US$3 million and export opportunities for US$3 million.

Another company produces panel heating radiators in 5 different modifications. The project cost more than US$19 million. The enterprise is capable of producing 640 thousand radiators per year using European technology. They are in demand both in the domestic market and abroad. As a result, it is planned to replace imports by US$6 million and export products for more than US$8 million. It employs 250 people.

The aluminum composite panel enterprise is also profitable. Its capacity - 432 thousand pieces per year - will replace US$10 million in imports and provide US$3 million in exports. Chinese equipment worth US$2 million has been installed, 80 jobs have been created.

The cost of the project for the production of metal structures is US$29 million. The declared indicator of import substitution is US$16 million. Exports are also planned in the amount of US$1.5 million. The company is equipped with Italian technology and produces 3 types of sandwich panels and 2 types of metal structures. It employs 350 people.

The level of localization at new enterprises is 35-40 percent.

After the launch of all projects in the Technopark, products worth 5.7 trillion soums will be produced by the end of this year, and goods worth 105 million dollars will be exported. It is planned to provide jobs for about 7 thousand people.

The head of state urged not to be limited to these enterprises and develop new projects, pay attention to the production of value-added products.
