Shavkat Mirziyoyev holds talks with President of LUKOIL

President of LUKOIL, Vagit Alekperov, is paying a working visit to Uzbekistan.

During the meeting, Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev noted with satisfaction the dynamically developing cooperation between Uzbekistan and LUKOIL in the oil and gas sector.

Today, LUKOIL takes part in implementation of a number of large oil and gas projects in Uzbekistan - from geological prospecting to gas processing into finished products. LUKOIL directed investments to Uzbekistan for over US$6.3 billion.

During the meeting, the sides discussed implementation of existing projects and preparation of new promising projects, including deep processing of natural gas.

Vagit Alekperov expressed gratitude for support, provided to LUKOIL’s projects in Uzbekistan, and his readiness to fully develop cooperation with Uzbekistan in the oil and gas sector.
