Shavkat Mirziyoyev holds meeting with SCO Secretary General
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
President-elect of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a meeting with the head of observation mission from the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) and Secretary General of the organization Rashid Alimov on 5 December 2016.
During the meeting, the sides exchanged opinion on results of work of the SCO representatives on observation of the presidential elections in Uzbekistan.
Rashid Alimov stated that the elections of the President of Uzbekistan are important step in further development of democratic processes in the country.
Mirziyoyev expressed gratitude to all observers from the SCO for their contribution and assessment regarding election campaign.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Rashid Alimov agreed to continue close cooperation on all issues, included to the agenda of the SCO.
