Shavkat Mirziyoyev holds meeting dedicated to improving defense capabilities of Uzbekistan

The meeting was held at Tashkent Higher Military Command School. Representatives of the Government and Parliament also attended the meeting.

The participants discussed implementation of the tasks, defined in the congratulation message of the President of Uzbekistan, defenders of the homeland on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the Armed Forces. The meeting participants also considered reports of heads of ministries and departments.

Shavkat Mirziyoev outlined concrete measures, aimed at improving the effectiveness of legislative regulation in the field of security. The President also identified the measures, improving the system of the organizational structure of the Armed Forces.

Uzbek leader also determined measures on preparing and re-equipping of the Armed Forces with modern weapon and military equipment.

The participants considered a complex of issues on ensuring social protection of servicemen, including construction of modern habitation for servicemen and their families. They also discussed tasks on patriotic upbringing of young people.

At the end of the meeting, President gave concrete orders on organization of further work in the sphere in strengthening and developing Armed Forces.
