Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev had a telephone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin. This was reported by the press service of the Kremlin.

The presidents of the two countries reaffirmed their mutual desire to strengthen Russian-Uzbek relations of alliance and strategic partnership, as well as to increase trade and expand mutually beneficial cooperation in various fields, including energy.

Shavkat Mirziyoyev expressed his gratitude for the hospitality shown during the informal meeting of the heads of the CIS member states in St. Petersburg on 26–27 December 2022.
