Shavkat Mirziyoyev expresses condolences to Algeria
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev expressed his condolences to Algeria in connection with the numerous casualties in the result of the military airplane crash in Blida province near Bufarik airport.
According to the press service of the head of state, Shavkat Mirziyoyev sent condolences to the President of Algeria, Abdulaziz Bouteflika.
The Algerian Ministry of Defense in its statement reported that 247 passengers and 10 crew members died in the result of the plane crash. The bulk of the passengers were servicemen and members of their families.
The military transport Il-76 crashed shortly after take-off from an airbase near the capital of Algeria.
