Shavkat Mirziyoyev Congratulates Leaders of Armenia and Azerbaijan on Receiving Sheikh Zayed Award

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The International Sheikh Zayed Award for Human Fraternity ceremony was held in Abu Dhabi, UAE. President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev sent a video message to the event participants.

In his address, the President congratulated Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on being awarded. He emphasized that their joint efforts toward the peaceful resolution of the long-standing conflict are rightfully recognized by this prestigious award.

“The agreement reached is a clear example of a responsible approach to resolving the most complex challenges and a historic step toward strengthening stability in our wide region,” President Mirziyoyev stated.

He added that only through unity, mutual support, and partnership can the common prosperity and well-being of the peoples of the region be ensured.

President Mirziyoyev also stressed that Uzbekistan advocates for resolving any conflicts exclusively through political and diplomatic means, based on the principles of international law and good-neighborliness.

In addition, he noted the contribution of the UAE leadership in promoting humanitarian initiatives and strengthening a culture of dialogue on the international stage.
