Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Petro Poroshenko discuss bilateral ties

According to the press service of the President of Uzbekistan, the telephone conversation between Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Petro Poroshenko was held on the initiative of the Ukrainian side.

The President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko congratulated Shavkat Mirziyayev with his election to the post of the President of Uzbekistan.

During the talks, the leaders of two countries discussed current state and perspectives of development of the Uzbek-Ukrainian relations in various spheres and exchanged opinion on actual problems of regional and international politics, representing mutual interest.

Special attention was paid to the development of trade-economic component of bilateral relations. In particular, they discussed participation of Ukrainian companies in the implementation of programs on development of infrastructure, energy sphere, electrification of railways and other projects in Uzbekistan.

The sides agreed to stimulate development of mutual beneficial relations between Uzbekistan and Ukraine, first of all, in trade-economic spheres. The sides also want to use all existing potential of two nations.

The President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko invited Shavkat Mirziyoyev to visit Ukraine in any convenient time. Mirziyoyev accepted the invitation.
