Shavkat Mirziyoyev expressed gratitude to Almazbek Atambaev for his frank condolences in connection with the death of the First President of Uzbekistan and paid tribute to the memory of Islam Karimov, which is high sign of respect to people of Uzbekistan.

It was noted that the visit of Almazbek Atambaev to Uzbekistan is an evidence that Kyrgyzstan pays great attention to development of relations with Uzbekistan.

President of Kyrgyzstan once again congratulated Shavkat Mirziyoyev with his landslide victory in the presidential elections in Uzbekistan.

Two leader discussed issues of further developing political dialogue and expanding economic relations, exchanged opinion on some international and regional issues of the mutual interest.

The sides also considered problems of extremism and religious radicalism in the region. It was noted that it is necessary to strengthen cooperation in the security field to combat such threats and challenges.

Uzbek and Kyrgyz leaders also discussed settlement of situation in Afghanistan and noted that achievement of peace and stability in war-torn country is important conditions for security of the while region, realization of perspective and demanded transport-communication projects, as well as further economic growth.

Two Presidents expressed their firm determination to adhere to the course of strengthening good-neighborliness and mutually beneficial cooperation, enriching the Uzbek-Kyrgyz relations with the qualitatively new content.

The sides expressed assurance that the programme of cooperation between foreign political bodies of Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan for 2016-2017 will help to form new platform of political dialogue.

Trade-economic cooperation is important field of the inter-governmental relations. They noted that the growth of bilateral trade by 23% in 2016 and mutual trade figure remain at unsatisfied level and do not correspond real opportunities of two nations.

Presidents underlined necessity jointly adopt measures on cardinally improving nomenclature and increasing mutual trade volume up to US$500 million within next two years.

Shavkat Mirziyoyev said that it is necessary to organize systematic supply of modern agriculture equipment, vehicles and trucks, buses, produced in Uzbekistan, to Kyrgyzstan. He added that service centers should be also organized to provide maintenance services to these equipments.

The Uzbek side also offered to supply nitrogen, phosphate, potash and compound complex of fertilizers, electrical products - from transformers to all kinds of cable and wire products, and home appliances, as well as finished textiles, building materials, medicines, furniture and educational and laboratory equipment, other industrial products to Kyrgyzstan.

In his turn, the Kyrgyz side also can review nomenclature and organize supply of demanded products from Uzbekistan.

The sides noted necessity to establish long-term direct cooperation between corresponding structures of two states.

Development of efficient transport corridors in the region is strategic direction of economic cooperation. It was noted that creation of short-term railway route, linking Central Asia and China via Kyrgyzstan, will allow to improve transit potential of both states and the region as a whole.

Shavkat Mirziyoyev said that specialists of Uzbekistan are ready to participate in designing and construction of the railroads of the corridor in the territory of Kyrgyzstan.

Cultural-humanitarian cooperation is also another important part of the bilateral relations.

Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Almazbek Atambaev expressed assurance that achieved agreements during the negotiations will lift bilateral relations to new quality level and serve to opening of new page in mutual beneficial cooperation.

The working visit of the President of Kyrgyzstan Almazbek Atambaev to Uzbekistan is continuing.
