Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The investment company UzAssets under the State Assets Management Agency of the Republic of Uzbekistan announced the sale of a package of shares in the authorized capital of Uzbekiston Champagne and Mastona.
In particular, UzAssets announced its intention to sell a 51.48% stake in Uzbekiston Champagne through a competitive sale process.
Uzbekiston Champagne is located in Tashkent, is engaged in the production of still and sparkling wines, as well as vodka products. The current production capacity is 788 thousand decaliters of alcoholic beverages per year, the capacity utilization in 2020 is 62%.
The bulk of the Company’s products are sold on the domestic market. Some of the products are exported to India, Korea, Mongolia;
Revenue for 2020 amounted to 65.6 billion soums, net profit - 2.0 billion soums, return on equity more than 17.2%.
Uzbekiston Champagne is implementing a joint project with a French partner - the implementation of the classic method of producing sparkling wine with the involvement of foreign experts;
UzAssets announced its intention to sell a 51.00% stake in Mastona through a competitive sale process.
Mastona is located in the city of Qoqand. Mastona sells two types of products: wine (dessert, dry, fortified), and vodka products. The production capacity of the plant is 500 thousand decaliters of vodka products and 200 thousand decaliters of wine, the capacity utilization in 2020 was 70% and 75%, respectively.
The company operates in the premium and economy segments with an equal distribution of sales. The company owns the trademarks Mastona, Aristocrat, Yurmalak, etc. The products are sold mainly in the domestic, regional market.
