In the result, share of services in the gross domestic product (GDP) of Uzbekistan grew from 52.2% in January-June 2012 to 52.4% in the first half of 2013.
Within the implementation of the programme on development of services, Microcreditbank issued loans for over 13 billion soums to create and develop infrastructure of services sector.
Introduction of new services on the base of information-communication technologies, the volume of services in communication and information sector rose by 21.5%.
In the first half of 2013, the volume of financial services increased by 28.5%, the publication said.
Launch of 2,200 new retail trade and catering enterprises helped to increase corresponding services by 15.2% in the reporting period.
The volume of domestic services rose by 17.7% in the reporting period due to creation of over 3,000 domestic services objects.
