Share of remittances from abroad in the total income of the population was 15.6%

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - According to preliminary data of the State Statistics Committee for January-March 2021, the share of remittances from abroad in the total income of the population was 15.6%.

By regions, the largest share was observed in Samarkand (25.6%) and Khorezm (21.8%) regions.

Also, the largest share of remittances fell to Andijan (21.2%), Surkhandarya (21.1%) regions and the Republic of Karakalpakstan (18.7%), as well as Kashkadarya (18.6%), Namangan (17.7%), Bukhara (16, 9%) and Fergana (15.9%) regions.
