Seven boxers from Uzbekistan win Asian Championship
Boxers who were born in 1999 and 2000 competed in the ASBC Asian Junior Continental Championships in Tashkent. About 130 boxers from Afghanistan, Iran, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, South Korea, Mongolia, UAE, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Philippines, Japan and Uzbekistan attended the tournament.
The boxers competed for 13 sets of medals in 13 weight categories. Uzbek boxers won in seven categories from 13 weight categories.
Bahodir Baratov (48 kg), Bilobek Mirzorakhimov (57 kg), Timur Merdjanov (63 kg), Yahyohon Saidhanov (70 kg), Kosymhan Kassymov (75 kg) and Abboskhon Mirzoabdullaev (80 kg) and Prosfor Rorimsha (+80 kg) won the Asian Championship titles.
Khalimbekov Utegenov (46 kg), Jahongir Rakhmonov (50 kg), Murodjon Aliyev (52 kg), Saidjamshid Jafarov (54 kg), Temurbek Sadullaev (60 kg), Dilshodbek Ruzmetov (66 kg) won silver medals of the tournament.
Uzbekistan won seven gold and seven silver medals to win the first place in the general team classification. Kazakhstan was the second with five gold, one silver and five bronze medals, while Japan was third with one gold, two silver and one bronze medals.
