Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Chairman of the Executive Committee - Executive Secretary of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) Sergey Lebedev will lead the mission of observers in the presidential elections in Uzbekistan.

Sergey Lebedev also headed the CIS observer mission in the presidential elections in Uzbekistan in 2015 and in the early elections in 2016.

The CEC of Uzbekistan notes that representatives of 21 international organizations, including the SCO and the OSCE, have been invited to observe the voting in Uzbekistan. The election of the President of Uzbekistan will take place on 24 October.
