Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Speaking at the SCO Council of Ministers of Foreign Affairs, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov spoke separately about the chairmanship of Uzbekistan in the organization, Dunyo news agency reported.

“First of all, I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to our Uzbek friends for the warm welcome and excellent organization of the SCO Ministerial Council meeting, which opens the decisive stage in the preparation of the September summit in Samarkand,” the Russian minister said. 

- Thanks to the initiative work of the Uzbek side, a solid package of documents has been drawn up in the interests of developing transport connectivity, energy cooperation, smart agriculture, digital transformation, interregional relations, the introduction of high technologies and innovations, he said.
