Seoul Park opens in Uzbek capital (photo)

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- An opening ceremony of Seoul Park, which was constructed in territory of Babur Park in Tashkent city, was held on 1 September 2014.

Seoul Park was created in Tashkent to promote South Korean culture, traditions and national peculiarities.

The opening ceremony was attended by delegations of Seoul city hall and Tashkent city administration, as well as representatives of cultural centers.

After entering the park, the visitors will face summerhouse with pool. All objects were constructed in single style, but they serve for various purpose.

There is a pavilion with the bell. Governor of Tashkent city Rakhmanbek Usmanov and South Korean Ambassador to Uzbekistan Lee Wook-heon rang the bell.

It is worth to mention that a protocol of intention on creation of Seoul Park was signed during the state visit of the President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov to South Korea in February 2010.
