Senators study the efficiency of the "Labor Migration" software package

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 18 March 2021, members of the Senate Committee on International Relations, Foreign Economic Relations, Foreign Investments and Tourism visited the Ministry of Employment and Labor Relations in order to study the effectiveness of the electronic software complex "Labor migration".

The study was organized on the basis of the analysis of numerous applications of citizens entering the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, which showed the need to further improve the mechanisms for registering and supporting citizens, especially women working abroad, including through the widespread introduction of ICT technologies.

In this regard, effective work and the expansion of the range of services provided in the process of organized labor recruitment and social assistance to migrants through the electronic software package “Labor migration” are of particular relevance.

As part of the study, the senators, together with representatives of relevant ministries and departments, analyzed the operation of the software complex, its main characteristics, functions and promising directions for its further development.

At the same time, the study also showed the presence of a number of systemic problems, the elimination of which would contribute to an increase in the efficiency of the electronic complex. For example, at present, the complex does not provide for the registration of migrants with their passports, there is no system for taking into account gender aspects and the needs of women engaged in temporary work abroad, etc.

The results of the study are planned to be substantively discussed during the current month at a meeting of the Senate Committee on International Relations, Foreign Economic Relations, Foreign Investments and Tourism, following which a corresponding decision of the Committee will be made.
