Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 13 September this year, at the thirty-second plenary session of the Senate, the issue of changing the borders of Turakurgan district and Davlatabad district of the city of Namangan, as well as the city of Namangan of Namangan region” was considered.

As you know, the consistent development of our country has created the foundation for huge changes in Namangan region. Large-scale construction work and promising investment projects are being implemented in cities and regions.

In particular, in the region in 2021, the volume of gross product increased by 6.8%, and industrial production - by 16.1%. Of particular importance in this is the role of small businesses and entrepreneurship operating in the region.

In 2020, Davlatabad district was created as part of the city of Namangan, including 4.9 thousand hectares of land and 151 thousand inhabitants.

As a result, the process of urbanization has accelerated, new infrastructure facilities are being built in the Davlatabad district and opportunities are expanding for further development of the system for providing services to the population.

It should be noted that today the population of the city of Namangan is 670 thousand people.

The average population growth per year in the city is 30.3 thousand people, taking into account which it is expected that by 2040 the population will naturally be 1.2 million people.

In order to meet the needs of the growing population of the city of Namangan, on 11 March 2022, a resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On measures for the construction of a modern business center and residential complex Yangi Namangan Shaharchasi in the city of Namangan" was adopted.

A proposal has been put forward to transfer 472.2 hectares of land from Turakurgan district of Namangan region (of which 276 hectares of agricultural land) to Davlatabad district of the city of Namangan and the construction of the Yangi Namangan Shaharchasi complex on the territory of the transferred land.

The unique cool climate of the area, proximity to the Namangan International Airport, location near the 4R-112 road connecting the region with the city of Tashkent, the town, which will be built using the latest architectural solutions, will create a special mood among guests at the entrance to the administrative center of the region, and also the presence of engineering and communication networks such as natural gas, electricity, sewerage and communication lines in the area - these are the reasons why this particular area was chosen for the construction of the campus.

A positive solution to this issue will contribute to the construction of modern infrastructure facilities in the city of Namangan and the further development of the system for providing services to the population and, most importantly, the improvement of the welfare of the population, as well as the modernization of the architectural appearance of the city of Namangan, the growth of investment and tourism potential.

The issue of changing the boundaries of Turakurgan district of Namangan region and Davlatabad district of the city of Namangan, as well as the city of Namangan, was studied in detail by a working group created by the Senate Committee.

This issue was approved by the relevant decisions of the Kengashes of people’s deputies of Davlatabad and Turakurgan regions and Namangan region.

The senators adopted a corresponding resolution.
