Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- At a plenary session of the Senate, the Law on Transplantation of Human Organs and Tissues, improved on the basis of proposals made by the head of state, was discussed.
Based on the proposals made by the senators, together with the relevant ministries and departments, as well as the standing commissions of the Kengashes in the field, a "Roadmap" was developed to ensure the effective implementation of the Law.
The Roadmap covers such areas as the development of by-laws necessary for the quality implementation of transplant processes, bringing the transplant service closer to the population and establishing the practice of kidney transplantation in all regions, improving the material and technical base of state medical institutions involved in transplantation, as well as training highly qualified personnel for the transplant service.
The Senate will establish constant control over the fulfillment of the tasks defined in the Law and the Roadmap, and hearings on the implementation of the Roadmap will be held monthly.
With the adoption of this Law, it will be possible to improve the regulatory framework of the sphere, supplement the existing legislative foundations of state policy aimed at the legal and socio-economic protection of the population.
The law also serves to reduce the number of cases leading to death due to diseases and irreversible processes in human organs.
The law was approved by the senators.
