Senators approve law “On ecologic control”

The law was developed by a group of MPs from Ecologic Movement of Uzbekistan at the Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis.

It was noted that the law envisages that civil society institutes (self-governing bodies and NGOs) with other subjects can participate in ecologic control to protect environment, rational use of natural resources, develop and implement ecologic programmes, etc.

Senators underlined that adoption of the law will help to increase efficiency of economic control, coordination of the activities of the state bodies, civil society institutes in this sphere, as well as raise role of the civil society in ecologic control, solve important issues in protection environment and healthcare.
