Senators approve expansion of Samarkand city borders
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
Senate of Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan approved a proposal on expansion of the borders of Samarkand city, Akdarya and Samarkand districts of Samarkand region on 6 December 2011.
The press service of the Senate said that the proposal has been submitted by the Cabinet of Ministers o Uzbekistan.
The document is directed at improving administrative-territorial division of Samarkand and it will help for further social-economic development of the region and life standards, develop utilities supply, etc.
