Senators approve amendments to some legislative acts

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- During the ninth plenary meeting of the Senate, the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On Amendments and Additions to Certain Legislative Acts of the Republic of Uzbekistan" were discussed.

This document introduces amendments and additions to a number of legislative acts.

In particular, amendments are being made to the Code of Administrative Responsibility in order to prevent the commission of offenses by increasing responsibility for the disposal of solid household waste and construction waste, as well as liquid household waste, ensuring strict observance by citizens of the constitutional duty, which provides for respect for the environment.

In practice, today, unfortunately, the facts are increasing every year when many citizens, as well as officials, throw out household waste generated in apartments or organizations in places not intended for this, including with the help of vehicles.

In addition, in recent years, in connection with the significant expansion of construction and repair work in various spheres and industries, as well as in private houses, a large amount of construction waste has been generated across the country.

In this regard, the Code of Administrative Responsibility stipulates an increase in the size of fines for the disposal of solid household waste and construction waste, liquid household waste in unforeseen places, and also in the corresponding part of the article, the confiscation of tools and objects of the offense is established.

By adopting the Law, it is possible to further increase the responsibility of citizens for the environment and environmental protection, as well as improve the environmental situation in the country.

In addition, this Law introduces amendments to the Law "On Archival Affairs".

In particular, a change has been made to the effect that archival documents of liquidated organizations are transferred to the appropriate archives, including non-state archives.

At the same time, the norm on alienation of buildings of state archives is specifically determined.

The senators noted that the implementation of this Law will positively affect many areas of public life. In particular, the Law will become a guide to action to coordinate the preschool education system, further improve the management system in the field of physical culture and sports, increase the responsibility of citizens for environmental protection and improve the environmental situation by preventing illegal felling of trees and other plants, regulating waste emissions, systematizing work with subsoil, further simplify the implementation of handicraft activities.

In addition, it also serves to develop employment for the unemployed, improve the quality of work with documents in state and non-state archives, grow and distribute cannabis for industrial purposes not related to drug addiction.

Senators approved the law.
