Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- At the thirty-fifth plenary session of the Senate, the Law "On Amendments and Additions to Certain Legislative Acts of the Republic of Uzbekistan" was considered.

This Law introduced amendments and additions to the laws “On Physical Culture and Sports”, “On Local Government”, “On Protection of Citizens’ Health”, “On State Control over the Activities of Economic Entities”, “On Limited and Additional Liability Companies”, “On the Prevention of Iodine Deficiency Diseases”, “On Compulsory Insurance of Civil Liability of Vehicle Owners” and “On Auditing Activities”.

The law terminates some of the control functions of local government bodies exercised by business entities.

In particular, the Law abolishes such control functions as ensuring control over the targeted use of sports and recreational and sports facilities on the territory, filing a lawsuit with a claim for the recovery of arrears in payment of utility bills and mandatory contributions, monitoring compliance with clinical and statistical norms for the quality of medical care. , the implementation of state control over the quality and safety of iodized salt and iodized food products, the conditions for their storage and the function of the State Customs Committee to control the fulfillment of obligations established by law for compulsory insurance by owners of vehicles registered in foreign countries and temporarily used on the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

According to the Law, the Commissioner for the Protection of the Rights and Legitimate Interests of Business Entities was granted such powers as keeping records of the Book of Registration of Inspections in electronic form and maintaining an electronic register of mandatory requirements formed on the basis of a list of compliance of the activities of business entities with the requirements of the law, provided in the prescribed manner by state bodies and organizations by areas within their mandate.

According to the amendments and additions to the Law "On Auditing", the control role of the Government and the Ministry of Finance in regulating the certification of auditors is reduced and the tasks for the development of this area are directly transferred by the professional community to the republican public associations of auditors.

When developing the Law, the positive experience of advanced foreign countries was analyzed. The law serves as a legal guarantee for the activities of business entities, prevents unreasonable interference in their activities and promotes the development of small and private businesses in our country.

The law was approved by the senators.
